The Challenge

What they were facing

Australian B2B sales teams have a data problem that most offshore tools aren't built to solve. Contact databases decay at approximately 2.1% per month. Within 12 months, more than a quarter of any list becomes invalid — people change jobs, businesses close, email addresses are abandoned.

In the Australian market specifically, this problem is compounded by the absence of reliable local verification infrastructure: most global lead intelligence tools were built for the US market and verify contact data against US registries. They have no integration with the Australian Business Register. They can't confirm whether a business is actively trading.

We built Reachly because we were solving this problem for our own outreach and couldn't find a tool that handled it properly for Australia. The answer was a triple-verification engine built specifically for the Australian market.

How we solved it

Designing the Triple Verification Engine

The core insight behind Reachly's architecture is that Australian lead verification requires three independent checks to be reliable: a registry-level business verification, a current employment verification, and a technical email verification. No single check is sufficient. We designed the triple-verification engine to perform all three at the moment a lead is revealed — not as a batch process after the fact, but in real time.

ABN Registry Integration

The first verification layer checks the contact's associated business against the Australian Business Register. This confirms the ABN is active, the entity type is correct, and the business is currently registered — not deregistered, cancelled, or suspended. This is the layer that global tools completely miss.

Live LinkedIn Profile Scan

The second layer performs a live scan of the contact's LinkedIn profile at the moment of reveal, confirming current employment, job title, and activity signals. This addresses the job-change decay problem: a contact might have been at a company six months ago, but Reachly checks where they are now.

SMTP Email Handshake

The third layer performs a real-time SMTP handshake with the contact's email server — confirming the email address is deliverable before it's ever revealed to the user. This directly protects sender reputation and ensures outreach doesn't generate bounces.
